There are four different types of examinations which are held on annual basis
- Written
- Oral
- Supplementary
- Memorization
Written
The Written examination is based on writing answers to questions from the prescribed course of the respective classes. It carries a total of 50 marks.
Oral
The Oral examination generally involves recitation by heart of the prescribed Texts of the respective classes. It carries a total of 100 marks - 50 marks for questioning aptitude and 50 marks for answering aptitude. This annual examination is generally end of December
Supplementary
The Supplementary examination is based on general Topics – Tibetan Grammar, English, Science. The topics are classified according to the respective classes. It carries a total of 50 marks.
Memorization
The Memorization Buddhist Texts, Buddhist Philosophy & Prayers etc . It carries a total of 50 marks.
The Four different examinations of the year carry a total maximum of 250 marks.
