Lama Tsongkhapa (1357-1419) was an acclaimed Tibetan Buddhist scholar and yogi. He was the founder of the Gelug School of Tibetan Buddhism, and authored profoundly penetrating texts such as: The Great Treatise on the Stages to the Path to Enlightenment (Lamrim Chenmo); The Foundation of All Good Qualities; The Three Principal Aspects of the Path; as well as 18 volumes of commentaries on sutras and tantras. He passed away on the 25th day of the 10th Tibetan month in 1419.
